KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 24): Gamuda Land Bhd, the property arm of Gamuda Bhd is organising Wellfest, Malaysia's largest wellness festival, to inspire Malaysians to embrace a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.
"Wellfest underscores Gamuda Land’s long-standing vision of fostering healthy communities. The company’s unique development principles focus on enhancing residents' lifestyles through biophilic design, which blends urban living with nature to promote healthier, more active living," said Gamuda Land chief operating officer Jess Teng.
According to a media statement on Tuesday, the festival will take place from Sept 28 to Oct 27 at Gamuda's four townships: Gamuda Cove (Kuala Langat), Gamuda Gardens (Rawang), twentyfive7 (Kota Kemuning) and Horizon Hills in Johor.
Wellfest will feature fitness classes such as yoga, Zumba and high-intensity interval training (HIIT), led by professional instructors from fitness centres like Tribe, Anytime Fitness and FlyProject. Additionally, attendees can participate in workshops covering mental wellness and sustainable living. There will also be a wellness bazaar featuring health-conscious food vendors and eco-friendly products.
Younger participants can also take part in Malaysia's first Tesla Kids Driving Experience which aims to encourage sustainability from an early age in a fun manner.
“At the core of Gamuda Land’s developments is the philosophy that wellness starts with the environment. We meticulously plan our townships to encourage outdoor activities and physical well-being. As urbanisation intensifies, it is vital to create spaces that prioritise physical and mental well-being. With Wellfest, Gamuda Land aspires to create communities where happiness and health are central to everyday life," Teng added.
